Jazz Is the Lifeblood, Blackberry Farmhouse

Made in collaboration with the University of New Orleans Jazz Studies program, this beer will benefit their scholarship fund set up by the late Snug Harbor legend, George Brumat! We all know that jazz is the lifeblood of the city of New Orleans, so let's keep it pumping by drinking up!

For this beer we chose a Lithuanian farmhouse yeast and brewed it with semi-traditional methods using blackberry branches and leaves in the mash (they usually use raspberry). Notes of blackberry pie complement a tart and slightly funky-spiced beer with a creamy mouthfeel. This is the definition of a warm weather crusher.
