In collaboration with Cajun Fire Brewing
For this collab, we dry hopped with a special hop blend for the National Black Brewery Asociation called Velvet Cake, and we added a hefty amount of Dolcita hops in the whirlpool. The beer is a smooth, refreshing, and silky hazy pale ale with notes of peach candy, herbal lemonade, flowers, and coconut cream. This beer pays homage to the counter culture of black debutantes of New Orleans in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and beyond. In that spirit, we are donating $1 per beer sold in the taproom to Project Butterfly NOLA, an African-centered, rite of passage program, designed to prepare girls of African descent for their transition from adolescence to adulthood.
